It's critical for students to learn to write clearly, communicate effectively, and express themselves. In today's classrooms, it's especially important that students practice these skills in authentic digital contexts that help them become good digital citizens who can contribute ethically, critically, and responsibly in online communities. Students, however, can find it hard to write what they mean, or they might find writing flat-out frustrating and boring. To help, we've curated some of the best student-friendly tools for writing, journaling, and blogging. For the purposes of this blog, journal writing refers to any writing that students perform during either a clinical or classroom experience that challenges them to reflect on past situations, as well as consider how they might perform differently should similar situations arise in the future. This connects the students with the real-life situations.

We believe that reading is key to writing and we focus on reading in our classrooms. Journal writing provokes more reflection and encourages students to take charge of their learning and their feelings. Journals help students make connections between what is really important to them, the curriculum, and the world. Whether it’s language arts, math, science, or other subjects, journaling in the classroom offers a variety of benefits for students and teachers alike. In reflecting on their own thinking process, students will become adept at recognizing the importance of self-exploration, questioning, and connecting. When this reflection is in written form, students have a source of dialogue prepared for use during class discussions or when asking questions.

Unlike other educational institutions, we motivate the students to prepare their school journals in school itself, with the peer collaboration. Their efforts and the enthusiasm are clearly visible at the end products. Please go through the attached journals on this page and write your comments in the comment-box.
